Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Young Professional – II (2 Posts), for the Development of indigenous shrimp (Indian white shrimp Aquaculture: Genetic improvement program of Penaeus indicus, Phase -I ” under the funded project of this institute

Post I

Name of the Post – Young Professional – II

Duration – March 2025 or closure of the project.

Age Limit – Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as of the date of interview. Age limits are relaxable for SC / ST / OBC candidates as per rules.

Post II

Name of the Post – Young Professional – I

No. of Posts – 05

Duration – March 2025 or closure of the project.

relaxable for SC / ST / OBC candidates as per rules.

For Post I

Fellowship – [email protected] Rs.35,000 /- (Consolidated) per month

Essential qualification – M.F.Sc / M.Sc. (Zoology)/M.Sc (Microbiology)/ /M.Tech (Biotech)/ M.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ M.Sc. (Marine Science) and related subject.

Desirable – Working knowledge and experience in molecular biology, disease diagnostics,
disease screening of OIE-listed shrimp pathogens, and molecular. Technical skill in artificial insemination, induced maturation of penaeid shrimps.

Nature of work – Shrimp breeding, hatchery management, algal feed maintenance, shrimp nursery and grow-out rearing, Disease screening of OIE listed fish/shrimp pathogens, real-time PCR screening. Laboratory analysis of samples, project related research works will be assigned from time to time.

For Post II

Fellowship – [email protected] Rs.25,000 /- (Consolidated) per month

Essential Qualification – B.F.Sc/B.Sc. (Zoology)/B.Sc (Microbiology)/ B.Tech (Biotech)/ B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ B.Sc. (Marine Science)/ B. Tech (Computer science/IT) Or M. F.Sc./ M.Sc. in a related discipline (Zoology/Microbiology/Biotech)

Desirable – Working Knowledge on shrimp seed production, algal live feed culture, nursery and grow-out rearing of shrimps, shrimp hatchery management, shrimp breeding and shrimp hatchery management, shrimp farm management as evident through dissertation/ project work/research publication or work experience certificate.

Nature of work – Shrimp breeding, shrimp hatchery management algal feed maintenance,
shrimp nursery and grow-out rearing. Feed preparation and Nutritional analysis. Routine Microbiological and water quality analysis. Laboratory analysis of samples and project-related research works will be assigned from time to time.
